Q: Is this a good gift for a 10 year old

If they love the movie, or just Olaf, then I would definitely say yes. I bought one for a nine year old. Shoot, I would even hang one up in my own room.

Q: How long does it take to automatically shut off? Will it shut off via the remote, or does the remote only turn it on?

I don't no how long it takes to shut off but it stays on long enough for my daughter to go to sleep and the remote only turns it on if u have it on by switch

Q: Can you keep the nightlight part on all night ? Or just for 15 min?

The night light will turn off after 15 minutes. Some of the reviews stated it to be cheap looking but i feel it is super cute and serves it purpose very well. The Light is made of thin plastic but that is so you get the effect of it being a night light. So adorable hanging on the wall! Love it!
