It works
Fit perfect for my Shimano bottom bracket and functioned perfectly. Great value vs the “blue brand”. Build quality seems good for you’re home mechanic.

Works great, and you must securely hold to BB covers, so as not to slip off the work.
Works for me, as intended (when seated snugly onto bottom bracket covers), otherwise you’ll get slippage. Probably best done with tool facing up & frame secured to a wooded vice; if your having difficulty with fastening/removing it from the side/when bike is standing in normal form, on it’s tires.

Actual Measurements Here!
Basic tool, thin material so good for occasional use but not in a bike shop. FYI does not fit center lock ring for SM-RT54 rotors (lock ring P/N Y24698030). Actual dimensions across the 16 teeth are OD= 43.1 ID= 39.4

Gets job done for the Occasional Mechanic
Works on a Shimano BBR60, 16 notch, but only accepts a 3/8" drive. No flats for a spanner or adjustable wrench. Also, seems to be a bit thin walled.Overall, it gets job done for $10 tool price.Upper picture shows this socket fitted onto a BBR60, not the lower tool

Works perfectly
Far be it from my to figure out why BB manufacturers can't even pick a spline diameter and pattern for external cup BBs so you need multiple tools for what is essentially the same piece of hardware. But, suffice to say, this fits an Ultegra BBR60 perfectly. Considerably less expensive than the Shimano or Park equivalent and for a tool that you use maybe 3 times (see comment above regarding constant changes to BB specs) that fits the bill. The advantage of a tool with a square bit like this compared to a wrench-style is that you can attach to the torque wrench.

Will not work on brake disc external lockring.
Shimano uses different diameter spanners for BB's and lock rings without clearly explaining dimensions. Be careful what you order.

High quality and easy to use
This is a high quality tool that allows you to use regular tools to tighten and loosen bottom bearing brackets with a simple 3/8 drive. This allows use of a torque wrench to get the exact tightness specified by the manufacturer. It is also easy to keep the tool square and in contact with the bearing cap avoiding slip and scarring of the cap.
