Easy to use and great for jobs like cutting grass edges and tidying up hedges that don't require cutting thicker branches.

This thing is tougher than it looks. Unpacked it appears quite flimsy, espcially the wheeled extension for the lawn edges. But it chewed through the lawn edges quite happily, leaving things clean and tidy behind it. The hedge trimmer blade is also short, so if you are in a hurry or have a lot of hedge this is possibly not the machine for you. However, it cuts cheerfuly through new growth without any difficulties. Changing the blades is not quite as straightforward, everything has to be aligned properly to prevent bits of hedge or grass clogging up the works but the machine cuts out promptly when this happens and I suspect it will get easier the more i use it.

These are excellent to use for edging and trimming bushes, lightweight too.

I love this Garden Gear set. I have had the 3.5 V for years and it has done a good job but the extra voltage on this one means that the hedge trimmer will cut through some of the stronger growth that the other one couldn't. Also, the edge trimmer is a little faster that than the old one and, together with the handle and wheels, makes life much easier, especially on the days when the strimmer seems to weigh a ton. It also gets into smaller places than the trimmer can, so that is an extra bonus! I highly recommend this item to anyone that struggles using weighty items. I find that I am constantly looking for lighter tools in order to keep my independence and not have to rely on other people to do jobs for me. If you are also in this category then you will be very happy with this set.

Not at all happy with this product as it has stopped being able to be charged after just one season. Bought in Aug 2022. Very poor quality and overpriced.

Excellent light weight trimmer.Easy and safe to operate; quick to charge this portable trimmer is excellent value for money. I use it to trim the hedge and the battery lasts the whole length of the hedge, 20 feet or so. I also use it to create and keep in order the paths at my allotment? I have been so pleased that that I bought one for my friend, she is delighted with it as well.

Update: 22-May-2019 The company did actually replace this product after I provided proof I had not had instructions to keep it charged over winter. BUT the replacement has also failed even though the charging instructions were followed. Bizarrely my mum has the 3.6v model which she has had no problem with to-date. My advise is don’t touch the 7.2v with a barge pole you will be wasting your money.IMPORTANT The instructions for this product say you must not let it discharge completely, what they don’t say is you have to charge it intermittently otherwise the battery will fail and is not covered by warranty. I bought this in September 2017 and put it away for winter at the end of November fully charged and now it won’t charge. Despite the fact that this product could actually have another fault stopping it from charging the supplier will not replace or refund under warranty.

Excellent value and quick delivery.The shears work well, but I had a problem with detaching the sole plate so as to attach it to the mini-hedge-trimmer. The instruction sheet could be clearer insomuch as it needs a good, hard pull to separate the two pieces. The cause is the 'bubble' over which the bar as to move. I know that this has to be a good height so that it does not fall off in use, but that could be modified or the instructions made abundantly clear. It's a manufacturing fault, and not your's as you are only the retailer, but it needs to be mentioned. Otherwise a value-for-money tool with good service to boot.
